Adventures of a 6 Month Old!

Baby James turned 6 months old on Nov. 6th.  I'm not sure how much longer we will be able to call him baby, because he is huge!  More like James the Giant :-)

Along with starting on solid foods, James is learning how to sit up.  We would also swear on a stack of bibles that he can say "Da da" . . . we knew he would be advanced for his age ;-) Talking at 6 months!

Mmmm. Yummy.

James' first time in a high chair and eating with a spoon.

Got Milk?? This green stuff is nasty!

Ok.  I'll just pretend to eat it, then spit it all out and hope they don't notice :-)

Dad capturing the big moment on tape!

Day 2:  Ready to give it another go :-)
Catching some Zzzzz with dad.

James sitting up for the first time!!  He looks happy about it :-)

Tummy Time

I can't crawl, but maybe I can fly!

What a hunk!

This is James singing Opera.  Like father, like son.

A Sitting Duck . . . and Other Escapades

MEGA POST!!!
I just did like 5 different new posts.  So make sure to click "Older Posts"at the bottom of this page.
I was the last person on earth to start a blog, but perhaps the first to actually have to PAY google for extra storage space.  Maybe one day I will take the time to figure out how to change the pixel size of my photos.  But for now, I can deal with the 5 bucks a year for 20 GB of storage.  Bring on the photos!

 Our Sitting Duck
There were lots of great costumes at the Palmer Halloween Costume Party.
Of course I am a bit partial to the one in the orange and yellow duck suit :-)

I don't think James is quite cut out for chiropractic school.
He looks a bit disturbed by the bony specimen in the closet.

Hubba hubba.  Hey Princess, do you dig ducks?

Ahem.  I'm basically a chick magnet!

Yet another cute chick :-)

Hey.  The tights are just all part of the act.
Happy Halloween!

Our neighbor Jeremy inspired a pumpkin carving fest.

Chad was quite proud of his pumpkin creation :-)

A friend from my BYU days came to visit from Iowa City to go Trick or Treating :-)

Check out that Duck!!  Nice tights dude.

First Family Photos  October 2010
If you see one of these photos on your Christmas card this year, act surprised :-)
I couldn't wait 'till December to share them.  Our friend Jeremy took them for us with his spiffy new camera.

James' favorite pastime ;-)  He loves to be tossed in the air.

Just look at those steel blue eyes!

Our Trip to Chicago

Are we there yet?

China Town with Clint and Alissa

Chad was right at home speaking Mandarin Chinese with the store clerks.

On our way up 103 flights in the Sears Tower

We finally made it to the top!

This was seriously freakier than rapelling off a cliff!
I am standing in the window box on a glass floor, 103 flights off the ground!

Girls out on the town, literally!

But mom, I'm scared of heights!!

Crazy Clint and Alissa ;-)

Even Crazier!!

Chad about to take the plunge. . . Don't Jump!!

Chad's afraid I'm going to turn James into a thrill seeker :-)!

Chicago Temple

Chad, we just have to get some pictures with these leaves!!

Chad, appeasing me with a photo.

Downtown Chicago

The Shedd Aquarium

A stroll in the windy city

Ok.  Enough of these museums. Where is my ticket to Wicked??
(Yep.  Still haven't seen it.  But here's for hoping!)
