Trunk or Treat . . . Happy Halloween!
This lion smells food.
Come ON Tin Man, I've got my fork.
I'm a lion, hear me ROAR!!
Mr. Lion takes a dinner break. His main dish was pumpkin pie.
Check out those ruby red slippers :-)
I spent about 25 frantic minutes and 100 safety pins wrapping Chad up in Christmas tinsel fabric before trunk or treat. On our way to the church Chad sat down in the driver's seat of the car and yelped OUCH!!!! A safety pin was poking him right in the behind! Chad lasted all of about 5 minutes before tearing his "tin" off.
After all of that effort, I made sure to get lots of pics :-)
Welcome to the Emerald City!
There were some pretty cool decorations outside.
Two Lion Buds :-) That is one of James's good friends.
Lion on the Loose!!!
He's been caught :-)
Bye, bye!
James and his friend the Scarecrow
For Halloween dinner I made a calzone, salad, and . . .
Fat sticks! Yum.
I held a Halloween Recital a few days before Halloween at one of my student's houses. I have 6 piano students and one little violinist.
I thought the recital was a great success!
I am lucky to have found students so quickly. I have really enjoyed getting back into music.
Chad and I performed a duet as well: "In the Hall of the Mountain King"
That weekend we attempted a hike in Mt. Charleston . . . but we didn't get very far. The Boss decided he'd rather throw rocks :-)
I was disappointed there were no colored leaves this time, but still glad to be out in nature :-)
Chad, not quite as thrilled to be out in nature, but putting on a party face :-)
What could be more fun than throwing rocks?? Yippee!
